Prayer of Salvation
1. Pray to God and confess these things in this prayer
or one similar to it in
your own words:
Dear Jesus,
I understand that because of Adam's fall, I am a sinner and I need your
forgiveness
for
my
sins. I believe You fully
paid the price for my sins when You died for me on the cross and
that You were resurrected three days later. I trust in You as the Saviour from
my sins and I know that I can not save myself. Now Jesus, I invite You fully
into
every part of my heart and life as my Lord. I trust in You
and
in You only for my salvation. I want to turn away from my sins with your help.
From now on I will follow
You as the Lord of my life in everything I do. In the name of the living Lord
and Saviour, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen."

3. Read the Bible
Reading the Bible is essential to knowing God. Now that you have been
reconciled to Him, it is up to you to learn more about Him. We recommend the
King
James Version).
Plan a daily time to read God's Word (the Bible), otherwise it is easy to get
caught up in doing things and running out of time. You cannot grow spiritually
if you
do not spend
time in God's Word. The Word of God is daily food for your soul and
not just a snack for special occasions.
4. Pray
Prayer is simply communicating with God. You can start your prayer life with
the
Lord's
Prayer. (Luke
11) It
is
a
model
of
prayer
and
the
example Jesus gave His disciples on how to pray. Though we memorize it , the
Lord's Prayer shouldn't be repeated mechanically or without thought. It's purpose
is to awaken and stimulate our faith.
Through this prayer Jesus shows us how to approach God as Father. Remember do
not
be
anxious
about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus. (Phillipians 4:6-7)
